One of the enjoyable and fascinating aspects of daily life this rural western Colorado mountain valley is the ever changing kaleidoscope of light, scenery, wildlife, and everyday events. I hope the selection of pictures in this section of our website helps give you and understanding of, and an appreciation for, just what an inspiring area this is.

I took the picture at the top of this page from our place looking NE towards Molina and Collbran. This valley and realities of lfe in rural western Colorado aren't for everyone... but, if it suits your spirit – and you hang around long enough – the dang place just gets into your soul in a way you just have to appreciate.  In the meantime, I hope this selection of photos helps give you a sense of what you might do in a place where there really isn't anything to do except live and be.

Oh sure, there's the skiing, biking, riding, fishing, high country stuff, low country stuff, hunting, hiking, camping, snowmobiling, etc. but that's about it ... there's no real dining, shopping, or places to go and be entertained by others. We just try and make do as best we can with all that other stuff!
