Helicopter Tour

I took this batch of pictures while on an aerial tour of the valley in a helicopter on August 10, 2003. It's been HOT since the end of June (record setting HOT) and we are in the second year of a pretty good drought...really it's been dry since '97. Still, the valley is a beautiful place and having the chance to see it from this vantage point was a very special treat for me. The doors were off which made the picture taking easier, but I did move over into the middle of the back seats just to feel a bit more comfortable about things. The pilot was excellent along with being a most considerate host.
